Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Community Center staff, volunteers, and
participants of our programs I would like to take this opportunity to share
with you information about our Banner Sponsor Program.
You may not be aware that over 70% of the operating
budget for the Community Center is generated by donations, fees and
fundraisers. More than 35% of our budget each year is used for building and
grounds, which includes the rising costs of items like; fuel, propane, and
electricity.
The mission of the Community Center is; To offer a wide
variety of social, recreational, educational, and civic minded programs in a
place that feels welcoming, friendly, and safe to all citizens of
Sebasticook Valley.
The Community Center is more than a recreation program
that happens a few times a year. The Center is open 5 to 7 days a week, we
offer programs for our youth in hopes that they will develop skills in not
only sporting activities but in personal growth, self esteem, encourage
respect, skill development, exercise, lasting friendships, a sense of
community and belonging a safe place from alcohol /drugs and bullying.
We offer programs for adults that are not available to
them in other forums, as well as the opportunity for them to grow
personally, whether that is through a program they attend or as a volunteer
and gaining leadership skills.
The Community Center is used to support town forums,
Meals for Me, The Pine Tree Ride in, The Kasey Foundation to mention just a
few.
To all these people the Community Center plays an
important role in their lives and community culture.
The Banner Sponsor Program is an opportunity for you to
support the needs of the community, and for us to support your business.
When you participate in the Banner Sponsor Program we display a Banner with
your company name and tag line. The Banner Sponsor Program is renewed once
a year for November 1st thru October 31st, the purchase/renewal fee is
$250.00.
